A small group of stratospherically erudite, unfailingly dependable, dazzlingly insightful, and thigh – slappingly hilarious native and virtually-native English speaking Barcelona residents are starting an English language book club and want to find out if anybody else wants to join.
It will meet the first Thursday night of each month at 8pm for dinner and a discussion of the month’s book. The books will alternate fiction, non-fiction, and something published before 1960 and will be chosen two month before the meeting.
The commitment would be to do your best to read the book, come to meetings whether you did or not, unless traveling. Venues will be at those members’ apartments who volunteer to cook (with other members sharing costs) or inexpensive restaurants (again with shared costs) and of course procurement of the books which may or may not cost.
